@jiub@not.an.evilcyberhacker.net Alternately, you can disable the auto starting of kmix. It just needs to be stopped from starting, and you need to log out and log in for the newer default to take over the media keys.

@chris@social.losno.co oh so that's why my media keys weren't working :neocat_lul: (previously i had quit kmix manually without realizing it was handling media keys) that was my thought to just disable it from starting but couldn't figure out how it was being started. but now it's uninstalled so that works too :3
