This whole “swapping” hormones thing being promoted by #trans people is not realistic nor clinically responsible. Doctors aren’t just drug dispensers; if a doctor prescribes hormones, they’re going to want to do follow-up lab work on you to make sure the prescription you’ve been prescribed is working effectively and without side-effects. A lot of times you also won’t get refills on prescriptions if lab work isn’t followed through with. Things to keep in mind, fellow trans folks! 💕🏳️‍⚧️
