@Weirding_Is_Real@mstdn.social Not only is the officer barred from receiving external funds for work he does for the government, section 6.1 of #GoFundMe's terms of service states that donations must be used in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. THIS is what should be cited when reporting the fundraiser: The officer cannot receive the funds without violating BOTH the law AND the GoFundMe TOS. GoFundMe is obligated to follow their own TOS.
