I built a thing that helps troubleshoot a broken home internet connection: https://whatswrongwithmyinternet.mapki.com/ This codifies something that I've been doing in an ad-hoc fashion for years. Ping the router, modem, and internet to determine which step along the path is broken. This information helps determine which part of your path to the internet is busted. It's designed to be run on your phone (get the page on mobile data, switch to airplane mode, hit button). Let me know what you think!
