I bought the lower-bandwidth model and have never done the "jailbreak" to increase the bandwidth. In the Rigol line, I'd probably buy the DH0804 if I were replacing it today, or the DH0924 if I wanted higher bandwidth. I've used having more than two channels quite a few times now... And vs. tablets, I find physical buttons helpful. YMMV But then if I were willing to stretch budget and interpret it relative to somewhat higher-end test equipment, I also like the open source options a lot...
