See-also https://mastodon.schub.social/@denschub/113947611632605788 If you don't run projects that depend on random drive-by contributors, moving to something like Codeberg isn't a horrible move. if you have the abilities and you don't need external input, hosting something like Forgejo in your LAN is the best to ensure minimal external dependencies. but staying on GitHub is fine, too, to some extend. you can back up code, and with https://docs.github.com/en/rest/migrations?apiVersion=2022-11-28, you can even back up other things like issues. just make sure you have backups, because you won't get a nice 30 day termination notice from GitHub if things explode
