@forthy42@mastodon.net2o.de I host a lot of things physically at home, and that's always a good move for reliability and independence.
Of course, that stuff isn't exposed to the internet, and for a lot of people, "run a server at home" is a non-starter, so uh... yeah... :dumpster_fire:

@denschub@mastodon.schub.social Netcup is a German internet hoster, it's not at home. But it's not in the US, either. There's a lot of dependency to US developed software, but it's all FOSS. Of course, thanks to git, all the data is spread over a bunch of machines including those in private homes.
