Outright misrepresenting a document while being pictured standing in front of the document with the contradictions in full view is a level of confidence we're just going to have to get used to. A recurring thought I have, Ireland had the seanchaidh, the old West had travelling news readers, these are just off the top of my head, I'm sure there's countless examples across cultures, preachers, storytellers, learned people disseminating information before writing existed or literacy had proliferated. I see something that's happening online with the new generations coming up, they're moving back into a verbal culture, they barely understand this arcane thing called text and they're waiting for some wizard to make sense of it and tell them a story. And what stories they can tell...
