I do believe this is the year I reverse engineer the NeXTstation Color and NeXTdimension board in earnest to implement hardware remakes. • The i860 alone would be prohibitively time consuming for me to do an HDL core for, so a 1:1 NeXTdimension clone is out of the question. OpenStep 4.2 drivers for something bespoke made with commodity hardware? Much more feasible. • I could possibly implement an expanded Bt463 RAM"DAC" with 24-bit truecolour and 8-bit alpha channel with some driver tweaks.
