@clarko@mastodon.social Honest question: How many good samples do you think Apple would need to publish in order to appreciably move the needle versus all of the terrible code that everyone else in the world writes and LLMs get trained on?

@DavidAnson@mastodon.social for SwiftUI? Not that much. There’s just not that much public code so they’re training on scraps. Plus the models are weighted towards definitive sources, so Apple and the respected technical publishers can steer it on relatively little.

@DavidAnson@mastodon.social @clarko@mastodon.social There should be an example with every documented function When I stopped being an Apple developer two years ago there were almost no examples at all in Apple documentation I have no idea why, but they must have a reason for thinking examples are bad...
