During the farmers' protests in 2024, MCC Brussels tried to capture a farm protest by getting far right speakers on stage with a narrative attacking the EU Green Deal. However, where the far right is in power it offers no solutions for farmers’ incomes, promoting a free trade agenda. https://corporateeurope.org/en/2024/06/far-right-aims-capture-farmer-protests-offers-no-solutions-promoting-same-neoliberal-agenda

Mouthpieces of authoritarian governments like MCC Brussels should be obliged to disclose key financial information, including sources of funding. However, for years they refused to do so until we submitted a formal complaint to the EU Transparency Register https://www.corporateeurope.org/en/2025/04/eu-transparency-register-secretariat-confirms-investigation-mcc-brussels-funding-secrecy

MCC Brussels is just one in dozens of far right organisations set up by Orbán in a very comprehensive propaganda machine for exporting his authoritarian politics. When it finally disclosed its lobby spending, it revealed an annual budget of more than 6 million euros. https://corporateeurope.org/en/2026/03/inside-far-right-network-targeting-europes-digital-rules
