@ve7fim@mastodon.social I've worked with a PDP-11 doing data-acquisition but to 6250 bpi 9-track magnetic tape. I guess paper tape spanned punch cards and early magnetic tape?

@virtuous_sloth@cosocial.ca @ve7fim@mastodon.social Paper tape dates back to the telegraph period, Hollerith punch cards to the 1890 census. Mag tape for data is mid 20th Century.
