@pozorvlak@mathstodon.xyz They have a really broad belief about the value of literature about astrophysics software that's really hard for me to square with the actual practice of building software, scientific or otherwise! Like if you asked somebody to update a piece of functionality in scipy to support the work you were going to do, I guess they would want to produce a paper about that, following from their "Astrophysics is the literature" section? It's quite a hard-line belief about what ought to be in the literature that feels a bit fanciful to me
