Did the thing I've been stalling on for weeks. Disassembled the dreame robovac (running Valetudo) to replace the four cliff sensors. It's out of its pathetic one year warranty and couldn't go more than 10 seconds without thinking it was about to fall off of a cliff. The process was worse than I expected with the sensors being held in place with little plastic clips on the vac side of their slot as well as a plastic clip being embedded in the sensor as well. Hopefully the new sensors did the trick and it runs without issue after the battery charges back up. While the sensor replacement was less than pleasant I have to say there was only a single warranty sticker on a screw and everything else was just following a German youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJCsu_dd4Yo) shows the order to unscrew the ~20 screws to get to the inside. Nothing was glued closed, no non-phillips screws, etc so beyond the need for more than 2 hands to deal with the clips, it wasn't as consumer hostile as I assumed it would be.
