Turns out the Wikipedia page is good on this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_justification_theory It immediately made me think of the concept of the kyriarchy in modern feminism https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyriarchy When I am looking at the world and thinking “whyyy” like a 5 year old, turns out the answer is often “because we are silly primates easily exploited by other, nastier primates”
