It’s a bit of a shame that mouse support is an afterthought in UNIX terminals. Yes, everything being keyboard driven and not having captive user interfaces in the first place is a feature, I know, but sometimes it feels like that’s a step back (when compared to DOS, for example). The setups/terminals I’ve tested don’t report mouse motion events by default. You only get press and release. That makes some things a bit … awkward.
