I personally never use the PureOS store, because it does not work well. I had the same problem with GNOME Software on other distributions.
Sure, things can be improved, but I think that "the developers have no respect..." is not a fair statement to people working hard on providing mobile Linux distributions like PureOS.
Did you enable suspend? And did you install the Crimson version of PureOS?

@janvlug@mastodon.social The crimson version of pureos with the experimental setting to suspend after 1 minute of inactivity drained the battery overnight anyway. The developers of these systems are not honest in communicating what works and what doesn't. The PureOS store is a disgrace and yet it's one of the core components. Improving it is probably quite simple. But I'm not falling for the typical 1) it's FOSS, fix it yourself or 2) it's true freedom, be happy. 1/2
