Still been wondering about organic amplification for direct audio usage still.
Whilst, yes, that would be cool. It's beyond me a bit with how it's being done in some labs.
BUT!!! if I can hear fingers touching each other when they're near my ears (or with amazing microphones) why not do things that way?
Developing a fungal synth system that is in-ear, or near-ear would get around this issue.
Repeaters? 1000x the mass, but trained to repeat? 1000x the output. Not sure about timing and noise.
