@doriane@post.lurk.org ah, I thought 4G was essentially LTE? Honestly my understanding is also very appromximate. I think you're right though, you do have UMTS1 for 3G but it seems dicey to rely solely on one band, especially with 3G being phased out. Another option in the same vein is the Cat S22 Flip, it's literally marketed for construction workers! But it does have Google services built-in (it's an american product...)

    @ghostsnwitches@post.lurk.org Yes but LTE is multiple bands and you can have like a phone that supports a bunch of bands but your country supports a bunch of other bands and they don't align... I checked the digno though! it's even more expensive which starts to be a lot for a phone, but otherwise it has everything i want from a phone unless apparently no "T9 only predictive text" argh
