@madeindex@mastodon.social … and the fact that they even released beta code in a major release should horrify all programmers (it does me). It’s been over a year. Now it’s just in fine print. They don’t care. They don’t have a good way to report problems (Siri has no way and Siri is astoundingly stupid). After a certain time it’s just an excuse for releasing shitware. Perhaps it’s also vapourware. Still: some #LLM output can be quite hilarious. Because it’s so utterly stupid and baffling.

@xexyl@fosstodon.org True, a lot of "#AI" creation is horrible, but much of it is also incredibly advanced and working very well (often not free / public builds yet). Maybe not for complex things, but the majority of simple digital tasks are already done very well, which is a big market. I'm not sure they will not make profit from this other than the current hype you mention. What is your prediction for their future? :)
