I got my iPod back out recently. It’s so nice that something is not advertising, tracking, updating, and bothering the fuck out of me constantly. People, if you have an iPod and you’re a privacy nut, dig that thing out of the drawer and charge it up. Never thought I’d think it was such a treasure in 2026.

Nice! I totally agree, an MP3 player is a privacy-respecting move today. Respecting your attention span, too. I’ve been trying to avoid my phone as much as possible these days for those two reasons. BTW there’s !singlepurpose@lemmy.world for talking about this kind of thing. It’s a small community, but I bet everyone there would love to see your iPod! :D
