After building my own firmware for it, my AirQualSniff project is getting a new MCU and screens. I thought hey, maybe #ESPHome and #Tasmota might cut it, but I have enough weird peripherals that I'll need to run a custom build of either. ESPHome's docs seem to think Docker is everywhere, but in my weird world it isn't. Tasmota is clunky, but I actually got it working...eventually. I'd be curious what others' experiences have been with custom builds of either.
