@RaymondPierreL3@aus.social Heck the only real consistent policy that could appeal to the public they have of lowering migration likely will be undermined by recent massive drops in visa allocations by the recent budget (that's ironically half of what she suggests) and stricter visa requirements for students and WHVs. So she very much could lose her only talking point that allows her to indoctrinate people to the far right. Particularly once the housing market starts to calm down for tax and migration reform, she's got nothing. But yeah the cultural shift in recent years has been noticeable, there's more concern I feel for our at times authoritarian tendencies and a general dislike for our press.
