While studying the Mac application for inspiration, I realized that its data graphs โ such as wind speed, precipitation, map view, etc. โ were laid out on a neat regular grid. Which made me wonder if we could adopt a similar grid for the mobile app, and add an "insanely great" ๐ twist to it: how about we let our users freely arrange graphs on a grid via direct manipulation with touch gestures?
And we pulled it off. (2/7)

On a 4โ4 grid covering almost the entire screen, users could add a wide range of data graphs and easily arrange them by dragging them around. Better yet, they could resize the graphs via pinch-zoom gestures to cover multiple adjacent grid slots. And yes, that included a single graph covering the whole screen. Users could then save and recall entire screenfuls of graphs with their geolocation as presets. (3/7)
