The "righteous" group (angels) call human mages "dragons" (MC is one) to justify their actions.
'If let be, dragons will devour every thing, the all of Existence.'
Though a quite exagerated, it is not entirely wrong.
They just fail to realise 'all of Existence' also includes them.
