@Kye @chirpbirb I feel the reaction was definitely overblown, and thrown in the wrong direction in some places. I can get to some extent that he has dealt with harassment (including in this case), so it may entirely be an emotional response (which isn't dissimilar to how a lot of folks on the other side reacted) I think I'm willing to place more blame on these things blowing up so much on .art's moderation style than a single guy making a list. And by that metric it's probably one of the growing pains of fedi, because there are clearly a lot of folks who joined that instance without being aware of how it impacts them, and how them putting their collective weight behind it affects the power dynamics for the wider fediverse. Of course I don't trust either .art or Ro, but the way people have been digging up random stuff from him long after all of this played out is nasty. I think calming down is a good call.
