M4A3 Sherman Tank damaged during the Battle Of The Bulge

USA M4A3 Sherman 76mm Medium Tank. The M4 Sherman Tank was the standard U.S. tank in the Second World War. This tank was assigned to the 4th Armored Division and was disabled by German gunfire during the Battle of the Bulge, December 1944 - January 1945. Additional armor plate applied to the front and turret of this tank was partially successful. Several enemy antitank rounds ricocheted harmlessly. One enemy round bounced off the armor and destroyed the gun barrel.
