@Okanogen@mastodon.social Instead of volume, the focus must be on stability and predictability. (e.g every new solar park must come with a battery). Grids must be modernized with better interconnects. Commercial as well as home(!) usage must be monitored by grid operators to react faster. Better long term storage solutions (days instead of hours) must be funded. I'm not against renewables and I'm not for more home surveillance, but it's also not as simple as solar/wind/hydro good, natgas/coal/oil/nuclear bad.
