Okay. I have observed enough. I'm calling it now. As of this date, I've seen "it's" and "its" used incorrectly more times, in my life, than I've seen them used correctly. I think their incorrect usage has been ramping up especially since the early 2010s. With no sign of slowing. Even in professional writing for large audiences, lately.
