So AWS allegedly has very tight data sovereignty compliance and I assume for government contracts this is adhered to. But as the Microsoft case shows, even in the EU some US providers may move data to the US. $1m question: does this also apply to AWS? This will probably have a real impact on what I do with my personal projects as I know AWS pretty well but also want tight EU data controls. #aws #selfhosting #datasecurity #infosec #gdpr
