@ancientsounds@mastodonapp.uk @gahlord@post.lurk.org Yeah, the "sympathetic pendulum" effect is common on a bass, higher notes ringing will set up vibrations in the lower ones (mostly, I'm guessing, through the physical connections rather than actual sound waves in air?), hence muting is a crucial skill. But yeah, was wondering if it worked in reverse, low notes damping higher ones.
