The whole "reddit going dark" is kind of maddening. There is a lot of people wanting to jump ship because they're killing 3rd party apps. Switching to kbin or lemmy is a pretty clear side step, but no one is willing to do ANY reading whatsoever about the fediverse. Even with clear instruction and a 2-step guide, it's "too much of a hassle." It was the same thing with moving from the bird-site to here. It's like the word "instance" makes people instantly retarded.
