I am personally of the opinion that we're all adults and can block or ignore people we find 'too annoying', though if you personally end up taking too much shit because of this I don't have a problem with the other options

@ForbiddenDreamer@poa.st @graf@poa.st I'd agree with this if blocking worked like many expect it does (individual defederation-lite that hard prevents any interaction from the blocked user, like it functions on Xitter) instead of how it actually does, which you can test on a few front ends like Soapbox with broken block and mute functions (placebo that just mutes the user, which itself only prevents his posts popping up in your notifications, but not seeing any interaction in threads). Muting almost works as intended in Pleroma FE, exception being that quoted posts from muted users are expanded and visible by default, when they should be hidden, but blocking is still the glorified mute with that FE as the other FEs.
