I took a ten year break there where i only occasionally looked at the state of #css and #js specifications and best practices and now i start puttering again and a lot of what used to be frustrating hack boilerplate has been solved and solved really concisely. Why did we ever allow vertical align to be impossible in css for so long? Almost wish i similarly skipped the slow death of Internet Explorers 6 & 7.
