@timixretroplays@digipres.club Air source heat pumps are pretty popular in Sweden, where we regularly deal with - 10 to -15 or worse during winter days (not just mornings), in the southern slightly warmer parts of the country. At much lower than that, they'll often need to use direct electric heating to supplement capacity, but things have been improving a lot lately. @huwr@aus.social

    @jwarlander@mastodon.nu @timixretroplays@digipres.club aye yeah but we’re dealing with a minimum of -7° in Canberra. A walk in the park! And these machines have electric-resistive backups. Mine has never turned on
