@Tamami@mastodon.art I was a bit curious what else you would do, as the WIP was (to me) nearly done already. I'm glad that you were able to stop, the result is beautiful. I like the subtle lights under the trees, the definite but not overwhelming texture of the grass and foliage, the way you used blue in the distance... and the ethereal quality of the whole. The transition from lime green to blue to the red-maroon to ochre on the right is Very Satisfying too. The texture of the trees' foliage makes them kind of cloud-like, it's very fitting. From your recent pieces (and what you say of them, and of you life too) it seems that your work is shifting, just a bit ? These last few weeks/months have been challenging (obviously), and I kind of see this painting as an escape into a dreamy landscape, as much a leap towards more freedom in an open field of possibilities as a respite, a space to breathe and be still for a while. I might be way off, but it really gives me that feeling. Anyway, thank you for yet another wonderful piece.

@PeryleneBleu@eldritch.cafe As always, your take is so accurate that it's scary. I have been... struggling. I haven't been able to produce anything remotely satisfactory, or interesting, for quite a while... Is it because I don't have enough room in my mental state? Maybe. So I chose to paint a landscape that is simple, more like a scene from a dream or distant memory -- no reference photo -- and finally I was able to create something I can *feel* the texture, light, and breeze...
