@atpfm@mastodon.social I know nobody is arguing against this point, but when apple made the M-series chips with a unified memory architecture based on LP RAM, they shut the door on any and all future Mac Pros. Unless they are willing to bifurcate their lineup and make an upgradable, but slower RAM-based CPUs (which they won’t), on-package RAM will never provide enough capacity for a true pro machine. Or alternatively, they could make an M-chip with an HBM RAM interface😂
