@blazesanders@techhub.social @atpfm@mastodon.social You could still have fewer SKUs, just give everyone access to the hardware they paid for. If the hardware is physically present, charging to access it is not reducing costs, it’s just adding an artificial limitation to the product after the fact.

@lukeratta@mastodon.social @atpfm@mastodon.social but they would need to charge EVERYONE more money, if they wanted fewer SKU’s. The few people that want / need higher the spec help pay for the people that can’t afford it.
