@annoniem@ohai.social This assumes there is something backing up their power. No state means they’re on their own. They would be isolated onto whatever land they could hold, and they would have to figure out how to maintain supply lines. Social credit scores and privileges, or social dynamics, would come into play, and the people who are violating the dynamics would end up ostracized or on sharp pointy sticks. Like the people who are being jerks and employing robots.

  • @annoniem@ohai.social Robots have an extremely high cost because of the logistics of building them and keeping them running. Supply lines are fragile, and the force that can maintain them is the one who will win. For instance, my city didn’t have the resources to keep up with repairing all the street lights the methheads would raid for metal. I think the city eventually caught up fixing all the lights once the methheads realized aluminum isn’t worth anything.
