I've been reading The Samurai and the Prisoner, a historical mystery novel set during the siege on Arioka Castle. Under Araki Murashige's watch, a string of incidents threaten to break the morale of the troops, so he has to turn to his prisoner, one of Oda Nobunaga's most gifted strategists. It's been great so far, and it has me curious to see Kiyoshi Kurosawa's adaptation of it!
