@stephenrkell@recurse.social This is precisely why I am declining all PC and review requests unless the organisation can show me that they have a process to validate that the papers correspond to real work. We need a model where someone actually sees the research and vouches for its authenticity, or a model where people publish preprints and code early and then get the stamp of approval after other people have had the chance to kick the tyres. The anonymous submission of some plausible looking text model simply does not work in a world with LLMs.
