I worked on a project team for a company selling broadcast equipment and it wasn't at all uncommon for the French engineers (cis men in 20s to 40s) to cry when things went wrong (sometimes due to defective equipment, but often due to France Télécom / Thomson / EDF etc doing something particularly cursed, and I could sympathise with them for crying (I can speak French, so got on well with these chaps)
