He obviously isn't thinking about running for president or anything else at all, despite being constantly asked about it. He's not only been dealing with multiple major crises, in this case without having a FAA administrator for nearly a year, but also implementing dozens of new grant programs and dealing with the additional work created by the IIJA. DOT has limited authority but he still got more results than anyone else would have.
