@PamelaBarroway@mstdn.social Yes I know! I grew up in Lower Merion and Hymie’s was the gold standard. (I remember the original Hymie in the ’50s, with his shop in a small storefront!) During the last presidential campaign, the current owner let the trump campaign film a commercial there. My late, beloved stepmother—and, I assume, many others—stopped patronizing the business and started getting their deli elsewhere.

@JaneinNJ@newsie.social I remember Hymie's well! I worked in Bala Cynwyd in the early aughts and went there often back in the day. I actually grew up in MontCo too, but near the lower northeast in Abington Township.
