@helge@mastodon.social @finestructure@mastodon.social Oh, I assumed a “general speed limit” was only for the maximum on what would essentially be longer drives, not day-to-day city driving. I guess I’m not convinced “going less fast” on those roads actually uses more gas for the drive as a whole.
(That said, I will concede that _having_ speed limits deprioritizes gas-guzzling engines in the market, which should absolutely lead to lower gas usage over time, but those effects are 10 years out at the least)
