@dalias@hachyderm.io @samir@mastodon.functional.computer I'm not convinced. There's a huge number of people working on things we all use daily. Most of them you'll never hear about. The things getting lots of attention (like anything AI) are indeed largely useless, but I don't think the majority of programmers are working on those.

@mansr@society.oftrolls.com @samir@mastodon.functional.computer What I'm saying is not about "AI" and similar garbage but how much of programming is failure of management to realize the same or better result could be achieved by configuration of tools that already exist with no new programming.
