@boggo@mastodon.gamedev.place Also because continuing to fake “AI” with what is essentially Eliza on steroids, without any reasoning or cognition whatsoever, takes an ever-increasing shit ton of GPUs and RAM and if they don’t manage to go on faking it so that everyone finds out there’s going to be hell to pay and all those sweet sweet investment billions are going to shrivel up like spiders on a hotplate.
