@ReggieHere@mastodon.social Look a little closely at what data is collected and how and by whom. My eyebrows flew up when I attempted to sign up for an online account with the Navigo Pass in Paris (the card you use to pay bus, tram and train fares in Île de France) and was brought to a site in Hebrew. Looking deeper, Navigo (and the Irish cards apparently) have journeys run through a US company called Conduent (formerly largely owned by Carl Icahn)… Go further and you'll drive yourself crazy!
