It's title is very modest, “Endlichkeitssätze für abelsche Varietäten über Zahlkörpern” (Finiteness theorems for abelian varieties over number fields), but those who knew understood what it was about.
Moreover, at the time where Faltings actually proved the theorem, he sent a letter to Lucien Szpiro that describes the proof. Two pages were enough ! (That letter is reproduced in the Astérisque volume "Séminaire sur les pinceaux arithmétiques".)

@antoinechambertloir@mathstodon.xyz I think I knew that it was in German! I have a vague memory I tried looking at it just for interest's sake at some point in the past 20 years.
