@lyda@mastodon.ie My first question would be why would anyone *want* to support animation in fonts, as opposed to doing it later and at another level. Having said that, Amiga fonts supported colour. Palette animation would have been possible, and maybe other methods. Here's something from Electronic Arts in 1994: https://www.randelshofer.ch/animations/anims/electronic_arts/KaraAd.anim.html Quantel probably had font animation in the Paintbox, or one of their other devices. They were licensing commercial fonts several years before the first PhotoShop release.
